Dr Bina during the live stream of the surgery was explaining the procedure to the participants and also responded to their questions during the procedure. The session was participated by around 45 participants from FMIC and cardiologist doctors from governmental and nongovernmental hospitals such as Ibn Sina Cardiac Hospital, Afghan Swiss, Poly Clinic, Kabul Medical University and as well as students from Milli medical University.
FMIC in Afghanistan is the first healthcare centre providing open heart surgeries starting with the first open heart surgery on April 2006, they have come a long way and has achieved a milestone of 2000 successful both open and close heart surgeries. Dr Bina also expressed his eagerness to help Afghan people and train the local doctors. He also stated that this journey has just began and asked for ideas and support in achieving more success in this field. “FMIC Doors are always open for our colleagues from other hospital” Said Dr Bina.
At the end of the session, Dr Abdullah Fahim, Medical Director, FMIC thanked the participants for joining in the session. He appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the Afghan medical fraternity in learning and knowledge sharing. He thanked the Cardiac Team, IT and Marketing department for organizing such a wonderful session. He congratulated the cardiac team for achieving another milestone at FMIC.
