At La Chaîne de l'Espoir, the Logistics and Purchasing department is crucial to the success of our humanitarian missions. Our objective? To ensure that every operation is perfectly equipped and organized to offer quality care to the children who need it.

Logistics referent

The Logistics Manager is the heart of our logistics chain. He manages inventory, distributes supplies to the field and ensures that our operations run smoothly, guaranteeing optimum efficiency.

In response to the war in Ukraine, our Logistics Manager quickly organized the distribution of medical supplies, ensuring continuity of care despite the difficult conditions.

Logistics Coordinator

In the field, the Logistics Coordinator is the central pillar of all our actions. He or she is responsible for managing the logistics chain, from the procurement of medical supplies to distribution to the field sites. This demanding role involves planning, coordinating and supervising all logistics flows, while adapting to often complex and unpredictable local challenges.

Duringemergency missionsand in response to humanitarian crises, our Logistics Coordinator quickly mobilizes the resources needed to ship vital medical equipment. He ensures that essential supplies arrive on time, enabling medical teams to save lives.

Export logistics manager

The Export Logistics Manager is responsible for the international shipment of our medical equipment. He handles customs formalities and coordinates carriers to ensure that every shipment arrives safely, whatever the constraints.

For example, on every medical mission, our logistics manager coordinates the delivery of medical equipment, overcoming complex logistical challenges to enable our teams on the ground to continue their vital care.

Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager is a key partner for our medical teams. He or she identifies specific needs in terms of medicines and medical devices, which are often difficult to find in the countries where we operate, and negotiates with suppliers to obtain the best quality and price conditions.

With a stock of over 1,500 items, including surgical instruments, sutures, gowns, surgical drapes and valves essential for cardiac surgery, he ensures that everything is ready for every mission.

Surgeons, nurses, communication, marketing, human resources and logistics professionals, mission managers, volunteers…: over a hundred professions are represented at La Chaîne de l’Espoir.
