Eli‘s radiant smile
Born in Togo, Eli had suffered since birth from paralysis of the brachial plexus – a set of nerves located between the neck and the shoulder – caused by a difficult birth.
It was impossible for her to use her right arm, get dressed on her own, and so on. At the age of six, despite years of assiduous rehabilitation, she remained a prisoner of this handicap.
Thanks to your support, Eli was operated on by Dr Philippe Valenti and his team during a mission led by La Chaîne de l’Espoir in Togo. The operation repaired the damaged nerves.
Today, Eli is doing well and has gradually developed mobility in her arm. Every day, she enjoys her new freedom a little more, and can finally dream of a life without hindrance. Her bright smile speaks volumes about her relief.
Thank you for being there to offer little Eli a different destiny!
