Ernest, vitality in every way

Active, happy, playful… and above all, very brave! That’s how his friends and family describe Ernest, a five-year-old from Benin.

So young, the little boy has already experienced a terrible tragedy. He accidentally scalded himself by knocking over a hot pot.

His wounds gradually closed, but leaving a long, painful scar running from the crease of his right elbow to his armpit.

Since then, he couldn’t dress or bathe himself. Even playing with his twin brother became difficult.

This was without counting the care she received during our last mission to Benin, where Dr Dominique Hepner, plastic surgeon and specialist in burns, was able to operate on her.

Ernest is now fully motorized and his aches and pains are behind him for good!
