Nary grows up serenely

Diagnosed at just 8 months old during hospitalization for bronchiolitis, Nary suffered from a complex, life-threatening heart defect.

Diagnosed at just eight months old during a hospitalization for bronchiolitis, Nary suffered from a complex heart defect
– an interruption of the aortic arch with ventricular septal defect – which put his life in danger.

In Madagascar, such a malformation could not be treated. Thanks to your mobilization, this little boy was transferred to France and successfully operated on at the CHRU in Tours by Dr Paul Neville.

Before the operation, Nary was very tired, sweating profusely and struggling to put on weight.

Today, he’s all grown up. At almost three years old, he’s in kindergarten, sleeping and eating normally, and bursting with energy: he loves listening to music, dancing and playing ball.

For his parents and two siblings, it’s a huge relief.

Nary is growing up peacefully after heart surgery at the CHRU in Tours.

Today, Nary is doing well, and we’d like to thank La Chaîne de l’Espoir for their help!

Thank you for responding to our appeal to allow this little boy to undergo surgery in France and live his life to the full!
