Tanguy Aulanier, skipper of the boat “La Chaîne de l’Espoir”, will start the Mini Transat Eurochef 2021 in Les Sables d’Olonne on September 26 on a 6.50 monohull in the colors of La Chaîne de l’Espoir.

The boat, sponsored by skipper Charlie Capelle and sponsored by Solution Corde and Degré Celsius, is one of 90 starters in this race, which involves the smallest ocean-racing boats in an Atlantic crossing with a stopover in the Canaries and an October 21 finish in Guadeloupe.

Tanguy Aulanier, originally from Paris, has been a fan of sailing since a very early age. A sailing instructor before going to engineering school, he chose to get closer to the sea by joining the design office at Charlie Capelle’s Chantier Technologie Marine .

A sporting challenge requiring courage, tenacity and humility.

Tanguy, like Charlie Capelle on his trimaran “Acapella La Chaîne de l’Espoir”, wanted to dedicate this human, solo and solidarity-based adventure to La Chaîne de l’Espoir and the children it cares for and operates on.

Representatives from La Chaîne de l’Espoir will be at the start of the race on September 26 to cheer on Tanguy Aulanier.
