Last April, in Afghanistan, a race was organised in aid of The Children's House. The Children's House is part of La Chaîne de l'Espoir's hospital in Kaboul, and was initiated in March 2008. It's aim is to provide access to necessary surgical care to the most vulnerable and underprivileged children from the rural areas of Afghanistan. The house welcomes around 400 children every year.
The "ECC Walk/Run Event" was a good opportunity for the staff and the children to enjoy a fun day and to communicate around the work and needs of The Children's House. It also helped raise no less than $20 266!
We would like to thank all runners and organisers (and particularly Linda Tomlison) for their work and for the funds raised! We hope to see all the participants again in the next "ECC Walk/Run Event" planned for September.
